For the vet

I made this card in appreciation for one of our favorite vets. With the amount of fuzzy children we have, we have several vet numbers saved in our contacts. Recently one of our dogs, who is 14 years old started acting lethargic and not eating much. With fear in our hearts, worried we would hear the worst, we brought her to the vet. Turns out she had an infection and is now much better. But are favorite vet did a wonderful job with her and has always been supportive and wonderful, so I decided to make a card for him in appreciation of the wonderful service he has given us over the years. I used Nate's ABCs cartridge for the image. I have had this cartridge over a year and this is the first time I used it. I embossed the mat with a Darice embossing folder(one that my mom got me because she knows my babies are number 1 to me). I used foam squares to pop up the image and make it stand out. I added a couple buttons for interest.

Fun Beach Fish Card

It has been quite awhile since I made a trifold card and when my mom suggested it, I went for it. All the images are from Create A Critter. The base is three rectangles welded together on my gypsy. I then welded my other shapes to each fold of the card. I attached an Action Wobble to the seahorse to give it some movement. Added a google eye to the sea horse for extra fun. The sentiments are from Pink By Design and Pink Scrapper. Most of the card stock is AC Cardstock.

Sparkly Butterfly

With summer here, it is a good time to make butterfly cards. I used the Create A Critter cartridge. I used the hide contour feature on my gypsy, so I was able to stamp a cute Peachy Keen face on the butterfly. I used the photo inspiration from Peachy Keen Challenge Blog to determine the colors of the card. I embossed the mat with a Sizzix folder. I added Stampin Up gems to the corners of the card and light blue gems from Recollections to the antennas. To add some extra sparkle, I used Stickles on the wings. The sentiment is from Pink Scrapper.

Tag Card

Paper Playtime is having a challenge using tags. I decided to use a tag to make a card. I used my Gypsy and welded two tags together and then cut it out to be my card. The patterned paper is from DCWV. The stamp is from Joy's Life. The cake is from the cartridge Simply Charmed. Since I had to cut the cake out small to fit my card, the sprinkles and the circles for the cheeks didn't cut out well, so I used gems instead of the paper cut out. I added Stickles to the flames. I added some google eyes for some extra fun. The ribbon is attatched with glue dots so it did't have to be tied. I am also adding this card to the challenge on Clear It Out Challenge Blog, Five Simple Things, Everyday Is An Occasion, Jo's Scrap Shack, Crafty Ribbons Challenge and Make It Monday.

Summer Ladybug Card

For this card I used the Create A Critter cartridge for the ladybug and the grass is from the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art cartridge. I used a Darice embossing folder to make the clouds on the mat. I used a Peachy Keen Stamp for the face and Stickles on the ladybug's spots. The card is 4 inches x 4 inches. Bee Shape Card

It has been awhile since I made a card other than the standard shape. The card, along with the mat, is from the cartridge Birthday Bash and the teddy bear is from Teddy Bear Parade. I embossed the mat with an embossing folder from Tim Holtz. The ribbon is from American Crafts. I used a Peachy Keen Stamp for the cute face. I added a Prima flower with gem to the little bear. I put some Stickles to the top of the antennas. I think this card turned out quite cute. The only thing I would changed next time is to make the mat bigger. I am entering this card into several challenges, Peachy Keen Challenge, 3 Girl Jam, Five Simple Things, Everyday Is An Occasion, Delightful Challenges, Jo's Scrap Shack, Through the Craft Room Door Challenge Blog and Creative Moments.

On the Farm

On the blog, Craftin Desert Divas, there is a on the farm challenge. I used the cartridge Create A Critter, the face stamp is from Peachy Keen Stamps and the sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps. I added an Action Wobble to the cow, popped up the sentiment with foam squares and added a couple of brads to the corners.

Christmas in July

At Action Wobbles blog, there challenge is to make a Christmas card. How perfect would Action Wobbles and a cute Santa be. At Krafty Girls, they have a challenge using mint, so these two challenges work well together. I used the cartridge Simple Charmed, Action Wobble (of course), google eyes, some Stickles to the Pom Pomona the hat and some ribbon. The patterned paper is from DCWV. I thought the card kind of looked like a Christmas gift, just ready for opening.
